This pretty cottage is located in a rural area of Ireland yet is only a couple of miles from the coastal village of Lahinch, with its sandy beach, good surfing and fishing, and the Lahinch Seaworld and Aquarium. There is also a championship golf course for golf-lovers to enjoy. The popular seaside town of Lisdoonvarna, well-known for its mineral springs, is only 4 miles away. Also nearby are the Cliffs of Moher, which have stunning views, and the Burren, a fascinating landscape of rock formations and interesting plantlife. In fact, it's the only place in the world which has tropical and alpine plants together.
You can also enjoy traditional Irish music and some great Irish pubs at the village of Doolin, 4 miles away, and a 20 minute boat trip from Doolin takes you to the beautiful Aran Islands.
The property was built with local stones, and the roof - which was originally thatched - is made from slates that came from an church renovation. The cottage is set in 4 acres of grounds which include a meadow, tree grove and hedged garden.
