Dungloe is situated on the West Coast of Donegal which shares in some of the most spectacular and unspoilt scenery in Ireland. It's rugged cliffs lean into the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean and then onto one of the hundreds of white sand beaches, which surround this coastline.
Moving inland, the magestic Mount Errigal or deceiving Muckish mountain among many can be found, thus making this side of Donegal an explorers paradise, whether this may be on foot, horseback or indeed by boat.
The waters hugging this coastline are renowned for their variety of fish. You will find plenty of offers of a trip offshore in order that you can go after your own 'catch of the day'. For those of you who prefer dry land, there are over 130 lakes alone in the Rosses together with a selction of challenging rivers.
Throughout the year, Dungloe Town offers entertainment to suit all tastes and palates where music and food are concerned. However during the months of June, July, August and September, the surrounding towns and villages host their own individual festivals, the most famous of which is the Internation Mary From Dungloe Festival which is held here in July. The festivals aim to provide entertainment on a daily basis for the whole family.
So this is 'Sweet Dungloe' in the heart of the beautiful Rosses where there is as much or as little for you to do as you wish admist the natural unspoilt beauty of Donegal.
