Located in the picturesque Lake District of the West of Ireland, 5km from the lovely village of Clonbur, 15km from Ballinrobe and 50km from Galway, Castlebar and Westport, this lovely thatched cottage is the ideal base for the angler, hillwalker and for anyone wishing to get away from it all.
The cottage is a 3 minute walk from the shore of Lough Mask, Ireland's 3rd largest lake, noted for its brown trout and only 8km from the world famous Lough Corrib, Ireland's 2nd largest lake.
This colourful, well-decorated cottage is uniquely charming. It has all the modern conveniences needed for a comfortable vacation but if feels traditional. Towels and linen are supplied and the price quoted includes electricity and wood for the fire.
The owners of this friendly family-owned cottage are based next door and they are happy to help with any enquiries. They also offer a reliable baby sitting service for your convenience.

Accommodation:
The cottage accommodation has been carefully restored to retain its original characteristics including thatched roof.
The living room/dining room has a cosy solid fuel stove housed in a grand stone fire place while oil central heating keeps it warm. There are wooden floors, exposed beams and traditional farmhouse doors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences making it a perfect for family entertaining. One easily accessible double bedroom with en-suite is located downstairs, while in the spacious loft, there is a family room with a double and 2 single beds.

Oil (included in rental). Wood burning stove and a basket of logs is provided free of charge. No pets allowed. Bedlinen and towels are supplied. Baby sitting service available. Family owned cottage, owner lives next door and will be more then willing to assist you with any queries you may have.
The cottage has a 4 star rating with Irish Tourism Board.

Cost and availability.
Rentals are generally Saturday to Saturday. Guests are asked to vacate the cottage by 10am and new guests are invited from 4pm. Weekend breaks and short 3-4 day bookings, subject to availability at certain times of the year. Off season and short break rates on request. A welcome box awaits all our guests.
