Glenshesk Farmhouse,

The farmhouse is a short drive away from the amazing Giants Causeway, the historic Dunluce Castle, the golden sands of Whitepark Bay and the heart-stopping Carrick-a-rede rope bridge. There are stunning coastal drives around to Torr head and the villages of Cushendun and Cushendall. The unspoilt and peaceful Rathlin Island with its famous bird-sanctuary is easily reached by ferry from Ballycastle. While the famous Bushmills Irish Whiskey Distillery is open for fascinating tours and tastings.

The Causeway coast has beauty in abundance. There are many protected walkers trails and rare wildlife. Traverse the cliffs and headlands and view glorious expanses of sandy beaches, where the North Atlantic meets the Irish Sea. Golfers will be happy – this area is rich with some of Irelands most renowned courses, including the famous Royal Portrush, only a few miles away. Whether you are a walker, cyclist, golfer or angler, Glenshesk Farmhouse makes a fine location for a touring holiday of this gorgeous corner of Northern Ireland.

Accommodation:

The newly refurbished Glenshesk farmhouse has been beautifully updated to retain a lovely traditional feel. Sitting amidst open countryside where livestock grazes, a private driveway with ample parking leads you to the house. The house has a secluded garden, perfect for entertaining and a barbeque and garden furniture are provided for your comfort. The house has an immaculate farmhouse kitchen, with Rayburn stove and large dining table that seats 6 so entertaining is easy. The comfortable and cosy lounge has the welcome glow of a real fire or curl up with a book in the cosy nook with views of the Glen. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms with comfortable beds. Bedroom 3 has a single bed and an additional pull-out bed, making it ideal for a family with children. A cot is available if you require it. The lovely new fitted bathroom has a 2-ended tub designed for a long soak. There are views of Knocklayde mountain and the gorgeous rural surroundings. The great design of this room is completed by a large glass shower cubicle with stone tiles and a power shower. The house has been thoughtfully equipped with Sky TV, DVD player, CD, hairdryer and a large fridge and small freezer. Balllycastle, a charming market town with lovely child-friendly beach, is on your doorstep. It has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants playing traditional music. Well behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage but take care that they do not disturb the livestock that graze in nearby fields.

What's included:

Electricity and oil central heating is included in the rental rates of Glenshesk Farmhouse. One well-behaved dog is welcome to stay in this cottage by arrangement. Bedlinen and towels are included in the letting rate.
