Sea View House is a recently restored stone farmhouse consisting of an open plan kitchen/living room with an open fire (turf provided) and oil central heating. The 4-start Irish Tourist Board approved cottage is located in Tennies, approximately 1 Km from Chapeltown where local amenities are located.
For the walker there are spectacular views from every road, whether you venture to the lighthouse to soak in the Atlantic ocean and the mouth to Valentia's Harbour or to the Grotto (formerly a slate quarry whose slate once roofed the Houses of Parliament and Commons and was used as far afield as the San Salvador Railway). The fishing enthusiast will also be accommodated with a plentiful supply of shore based fishing locations and deep sea angling charters.
The historian will find Valentia a gold mine with the Skellig islands just off its coast. Once home to a sixth century monastic settlement the island hit the news with the discovery of dinosaur footprints dating between 350 and 370 million years old, the second oldest in the world.

The house consists of one double ensuite room downstairs, upstairs there is one double room and one room with three single beds, accommodating 7 in total. There is also a bathroom upstairs.

Heating is by oil central heating and the cost is included in the letting rate. There is an open fire and peat is provided free of charge. Pets are welcome to stay in this cottage by arrangement. Bed linen and towels included in the letting rate.
