Beagh Cottage is the ideal destination for escape and exploration of the magic and beauty of the Highlands of Donegal. This 300 year old cottage has been tastefully restored to retain its original characteristics including thatched roof, fireplace and original bog oak beams.
The cottage is ideally based for touring and enjoying local activities, of which there are many. Ardara heritage town is within 5km and there are many beautiful beaches - Narin blue flag beach is an easy drive. For golfers, Narin/Portnoo 18 hole golf course is in the vicinity or there is Pitch & Putt at Sandfield for the less serious. Anglers will be spolt for choice by the local lakes and rivers on offer or you can give horseriding a go at Loughros Point. Fans of tradtional music will love the Cup of Tae Festival on May Day when the town comes alive with music. In fact, Adara is famed for its festivals all year round: the Walking Festival in March gets the town on its feet with a selection of scenic guided walks of varying difficulty in the area. The Melting Pot Festival, a multi-cultural celebration of culture, music and food takes place at the end of May and the fascinating Ardara Agricultural Show is scheduled for August. With the Matchmaking Festival and the St Patrick’s Day Parade as well, it's little wonder that the town is nicknamed the festival capital of Donegal.
